A Palestinian woman sits in a classroom at the Palestinian Prisoner's Club in Tulkarm where she works to represent the rights of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails. In 2001, while working as a hair stylist in Netanya, Israel, she lost three of her family members to Israeli attacks. She then planned a suicide mission but was intercepted by Israeli intelligence two hours before her attack. She spent 6 years in an Israeli prison, where she studied the work and life of Gandhi, and has come to realize the power of fighting with one's voice over one's body. She now studies Social Work as she works to better conditions for female prisoners in Israeli prisons.
